Italian-American Heritage Month

The month of October has been designated as Italian-American Heritage Month. Every year during this time, Italian-American culture and traditions are celebrated. Below you will find some fun, Italian-American themed activities that we made to help celebrate such an important culture - enjoy!

SPAGHETTI AND MEATBALL CUPCAKES::

INGREDIENTS:

• white cake mix

• vanilla icing

• Ferrero Rocher chocolates

• raspberry or strawberry jam

• coconut flakes

DIRECTIONS:

1. After baking cupcakes, allow them to cool.

2. Put icing in a piping bag with a small round tip.

3. Let the kids pipe the icing around the cupcakes to make it look like spaghetti.

4. Dip the "meatballs" (Ferrero Rocher chocolates) into the "sauce" (jam) and place on top.

5. Sprinkle the "grated cheese" (coconut flakes) on top.

6. Mangia!
